Passport 2 Employment (P2E)

Passport 2 Employment program (P2E) was developed to support school students living with a disability or other challenges to overcome barriers to participating in their community and the workforce.

Developed in 2013 by the Glenelg and Southern Grampians Local Learning and Employment Network, the P2E program focusses on improving communication and life skills needed for employment, as well as supporting students to explore pathways into further education and to participate in their community.

P2E is a hands-on workshop style program, run weekly between an 8 – 11 week period during the school term.

The P2E program is usually coordinated by a nominated local agency and supported by a network of disability, education and community service providers in the local community.

The P2E program is:

1: A weekly workshop based program that is conducted over an 8-week period

2: Targeting school students with multiple barriers, particularly those with a disability

3: Supported by a network of disability, education and community service providers in a local community

The P2E program focusses on:

1: Employability

2: Communication and life skills

3: Helping students explore pathways into further education, employment and community post-school.
